Guthrie is a blues inspired Reggae & Roots composer from Shoalwater, Western Australia. Performing around Australia as a Solo, Duo & Trio act, Guthrie establishes a relaxing, enjoyable atmosphere that entertains, uplifts and enlightens almost any crowd.

As a Solo act Guthrie creates a warm, inviting & enjoyable atmosphere that leaves even the rowdiest of audiences relaxed and entertained. Joining Guthrie in the Trio are good friends and local musicians; Maxx Carter (Drums) & Jase Le Scelle (Bass). As a Trio act the boys provide a more energetic, upbeat punk-rock twist to Guthrie’s Reggae & Roots compositions. This ends being an entertaining mix that provides hours of danceable beats, laughable hijinks & smooth shredding solos!

Guthrie recently completed his first National Tour performing 18 packed shows across the country, including a main stage performance slot at the Nimbin MardiGrass Protestival! Guthrie has appeared on a variety of festival lineups including; Kinetic Dreaming Music Festival, “Railway, Reggae, Roots”, Nimbin MardiGrass Protestival, Blues Alive Festival, Gidgestock, Rumfest, Musical Fruits Festival and the annual 4.20 Rallies held across various states.

Guthrie has released three independent releases; “Guthrie EP”, “End The Prohibition” and most recently the “Seeds of Change” album (available via iTunes, Spotify, Amazon, Google Play, Xbox Music & various other outlets). Seeds of Change is the first album release for the Guthrie Trio (Darren Guthrie (Guitar, Ukulele, Vocals & Misc), Jase Le Scelle (Bass) & Maxx Carter (Drums & Percussion)) and was mastered by Ian Pritchett from Noise Gate Studios (The Beautiful Girls, Angus & Julia Stone Single, Boo Seeka & more).
